I have been taking photos as a hobby for most of my life from holiday snaps on a Kodak Instamatic to my first "proper" camera, a Petri SLR discovered in an antiques shop in the Lake District. Photography has helped me try to see the world in a more positive way and to be more present so I tend to take a camera everywhere I go and make sure I take pictures to help me remember where I have been and the things that I have seen.

More recently I have re-kindled my love of travel and my camera has been my constant (and sometimes only) companion on these trips. Planning trips away and having something to look forward to has been a life saver when dealing with the constant treadmill of life and taking photos is a great way to ensure I have a record of my travels and the wonders that I have seen. I tend to take pictures of the things that interest me which aren't always the typical tourist views of a place so I hope you enjoy them.
